Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Crayon & Cut collects when you use crayonandcut.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to make us stop. We've written it in plain English on purpose.

Crayon & Cut is operated by Ajmera Enterprises LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. You can reach us any time at hello@crayonandcut.com, and our postal address appears at the foot of every email we send.

What we collect

Your email address. Only when you type it into a form yourself. It's the one piece of personal information we ask for, and it's the only thing needed to receive the free pack.

Basic technical information, collected automatically when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you arrived from, and what you did on the site. This is ordinary web-server and analytics data.

Cookies and similar identifiers placed by the Meta pixel, described under Advertising below.

We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth, or payment details. There is nothing to buy on this site.

Why we collect it

To send you the activity pack you asked for. To send occasional emails about new printables. To understand which advertisements bring people here, so we don't waste money on ones that don't. To keep the site working and to detect abuse.

We rely on your consent for marketing emails, and on our legitimate interest in running and measuring a small business for the technical and advertising data.

Who else sees it

We don't sell your email address, rent it, or trade it. We do use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

Kit (ConvertKit) stores our email list and sends our emails. Vercel hosts the website and processes server logs. Meta receives advertising measurement data, described next.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Advertising and measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To find out whether those ads work, we use the Meta pixel on this site and Meta's Conversions API on our server.

When you submit the form, we send Meta a record that a sign-up happened, along with a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your email address. Hashing means Meta can check whether it matches an existing account without us handing over the address itself. Meta also receives your IP address and browser type as part of the same measurement.

Under some US state privacy laws this counts as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out — see California rights below, which we honour for everyone regardless of where they live.

You can also limit this through your Meta ad preferences or your browser's cookie settings.

Your choices

Unsubscribe — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. It works immediately and there is no retention flow designed to talk you out of it.

Access, correction, deletion — email us and we'll tell you what we hold, fix it, or delete it. We aim to respond within 30 days and we won't charge you or ask why.

Opt out of ad measurement — email us and we'll exclude your address from advertising data sent to Meta.

We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

California and other state rights

If you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request correction or deletion, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell personal information. As explained above, our advertising measurement may qualify as "sharing," and you can opt out by emailing us.

Residents of other states with similar laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah and Texas — have comparable rights. Rather than tracking which law applies to whom, we extend the same rights to everyone who asks.

To make a request, email hello@crayonandcut.com from the address you signed up with, or tell us which address to look up. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.

Children

Our products are made for children, but this website is intended for the adults who buy and print them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email address, write to us and we will delete it promptly.

Please don't let a child fill in the form. Sign up with your own address instead.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, plus a short period afterwards to make sure the removal sticks. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Advertising measurement data is retained by Meta under its own policies.

Security and location

We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available to a business this size. Our providers use encryption in transit and industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't promise otherwise.

Our providers are based in the United States, so your information is processed there.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll say so by email before it takes effect.
